Still no plans O_o.  Bet people are thinking wow Chrysalis you unlucky dude not in that 80% when everyone else on every broadband forum either has OR FTTP or is planned.

True, I dont know why either, population density very high here.

A fair few Leicester exchanges announced but as I predicted they shying away from my city centre exchange.  I think its now the only one in my part of the city with no plans.

Also apparently a alt net going live makes OR do the area, nope, not here.

I thought FTTP are feed from Wellington Exchange? Cuckoo Oak Exchange is only served ADSL/ADSL2/ADSL2+ only? Just got email from Openreach that my area has changed to July to October 2026 now. How disappointed now but I can understand why because we all under the ground, too complex work.

The new map does look more like blanket bombing!
Especially when you know colleague who are still seeing "Now to Dec 2026" as a completion date. if they check the build web page.

Its pretty simple, the list refers to the area that exchange currently covers for copper service.

When you think about it, how else would they explain what area they are referring to?

Effectively they are saying "we are replacing the existing infrastructure provided by this exchange with FTTP".  Where the fibre actually comes from is irrelevant in this context.

Few months ago Openreach vans and engineers layed fibre optic in local area then it went away and never active yet. Maybe they need to do other area and come back in July - October 2026 to get FTTP active!

It took nearly 2 years for mine to be activated! The street my flat is on it was nearly a year and a half!
So don't hold your breath. ;) ::)

Blimey - wonder why OR would leave it for 2 years before activated? What the main reason?

If it involves dig or clearing ducts then that gets delayed over areas that have clear ducts or can be done overhead.  They won't delay installing fibre where they can as that would be crazy, so they might be able to do the middle part even if neither the exchange side or the customer can be installed yet.

When my area first got FTTC they lost 6 months needing to get a specialist digger to lay part of the duct nearer the exchange.

When I got FTTP, my side of the road was delayed for months, might even have been a year - because the duct runs the other side of the road in the grass verge but the copper to my side was direct in ground under the road.  So initially they were going to install new duct, then that didn't happen for some reason and they added a pole.

Yet: -
Email on 6th March confirming I'd been added to their plans (again)
Contractors spotted on my street on 8th March pulling fibres
4th April, I placed an order for FTTP
17th April, installed.

I think people forget that this is much more complex than the FTTC rollout 10+ years ago. A fibre cabinet going live and being added on to everyones already pre-existing copper infrastructure was a hell of a lot easier to do than running individual fibre cables to everyones house...

More likely you got a generic email telling you it's on the way by then that was sent to anyone who signed up. Ignore. The one you received addressed to you matters not a general one.

Think mine was due to it being flats off the street, so need someone to actually type something into the computer!
The street is all overhead, where my flats are underground grey tubes. But on the first visit as I've posted else where the Engineer didn't actually find the fibre, and a second visit was required. But yes 8/22 I took a photo of the Quinn employee in the pit doing the fibre. Sounds like Cluedo!
Netomnia seem to be having all manner of problems with their contractors, so unsure as to when or weather that will ever happen!  :(
And Virgin as Nextfibre are back in town, so they may upgrade but the street already has coax run down it.

Indeed, its puzzling considering both location and population.  None of the alt-nets either?
