You need to ask your ISP those questions

I already did but haven't heard anything back yet. Maybe later.

You're not the only person with a delayed install,  mine was the 16th now the 22nd, mines most complicated as mine is showing,  Single Dwelling Unit Residential OH Feed alternate L2C solution required.

Just a case of waiting a bit longer.

The exterior part is done, not the internal part.

I had both parts done when I got FTTP 2 weeks odd before my activation date as the guys had time to do both parts by chance as it was supposed to be a more complex job to get the fibre to the house than it actually was.
Even though ONT and everything was in place I still had to wait for the activation date regardless and on the day it just went live after the same OR guy phoned me to double check it switched on.

It sounds like they have had engineer shortages/delays that is preventing your internal half being done thus rescheduled.

It's frustrating but you have a working service while you wait so hardly the end of the world.

Yeah but good job I told Cerberus to put cease on my G.fast until end of this month. Cerberus ensure that Openreach willing committed to this cease date as of 30/01/26 not before that!

It might be related to the missed prep visit, best to ask Aquiss for an update.

Updated:

Openreach has texted just after 4pm yesterday as they apology and told me to igorne the last message and will committed live date as of 09/01/26 at 8am to 1pm slot for FTTP activated and Aquiss has a report from BTw to say it still on for Friday 9th January.

Maybe OR thought the first stage haven't done must be the reason for 2nd stage on 16th January (that's now no longer)

Just drill the hole wall from outside to inside ready for Openreach to put Fibre cable through to my pc room for ONT box there. Nearby doubled sockets and WiFi 7 Fibre router.

Just hoping OR agree to do this. https://i.postimg.cc/1tGGBhwC/1000102838.jpg

If OR say no must be downstair only in lounge room then I will REFUSE it and CANCEL it. I rather want ONT box upstair in my pc room where my pc cctv there.

Did we not already go through this with using the current cat5e cable if the ONT has to go downstairs, to then link to the router upstairs? I mean its your place so have it how you want but seems a bit extreme to be potentially cancelling if it can't be put where you would like it, when there's already a solution in place.

When the OR did the first stage job outside drop the fibre from the pole to the bottom wall and he did warns me more likely the 2nd stage will puf ONT in the lounge room because it felt better situation there. I told him no I want it upstairs in my PC room but he told me this is OR decision not your decision for the ONT box.

I shall wait and see until this Friday if it was decided to put in lounge room then how on earth to get the router from the lounge room to my PC room because it went to the wrong way.

You can request it to go in a certain place but as it is their equipment and not yours I believe they have the final say. If you already have a Cat 5 going between the rooms then I'm not sure why there is an issue anyway.

I only got indoor cat 5e ethernet cable as it can not use for outdoor because it not waterproof unless i have to order waterproof ethernet so it can go the hole there and all the way straight down to the bottom wall to lay under the door to other side for going into the lounge room where they will put ONT box there.

I know ONT box remain in property of openreach.

Just wait until Friday and see what happens. If it's delayed or they insist on the ONT going in the lounge then deal with it then as worrying about it now won't change anything.

I am getting more stressed now because heard the weather going to be very badly this Friday, look like Openreach engineer might not turn up?

Getting anxious now
I'm sure they'll let you know either way. But your name is now down on the list, so you're coming to the party at some point!
Just throw another chair on the fire, pour yourself a strong one and watch the snowfall!
Enjoy!
