Looks great. If it's not too much to ask of you, could you take us through the whole procedure?

Cheers!

If you've a Huawei already there isn't really one. Connect to the Huawei's web page, go to the option that shows you the serial number and it allows you to change it.

What you will however achieve if you purchase the same one I have is a cable to convert the incoming fibre from APC to UPC. You'd need an SC fibre flange/coupler and a short single mode fibre cable that's APC on one side and UPC on the other. The UPC bit is why there's a blue connector going into the ONT not a green one. Just how they roll.

G'day,

Successfully replaced one of these with a Huawei MA5671A sfp module purchased from Ali Express for .

Details in this post https://forum.kitz.co.uk/index.php/topic,26900.0.html.

Recently, circa 2023 or after switching ISPs, these are fully locked, no access to web interface. I have tried via the internal serial header on the pcb and seen no login, it all ends with a message that the ONT is up.
I guess that the firmware can be dumped either by desoldering the flash chip or by JTAG interface, but those things cost a bit too much.

Have a read and a go, it's easy.

Best of luck,
m.
