Cheers,  I'm on my way out for an appt but will read it later.  I am always wary of what Cochrane says and how he bigs up his own importance.   I have some technical papers written by respected BT engineer developers from that period of time,  Theres quite a lot of listed names of people responsible and very clued up in broadband technology.  Cant recall the dept names now as Ive not looked at them since I did some stuff for the site more than 10yrs ago.   Those people were very astute when it came to future broadband technologies.   Its surprising what was known and discussed 20-30 years ago..   Cochrannes name wasnt one of them. :/   I should shift through it all and do a write up some day because atm there is only Chochranes version not perhaps giving true credit where due.

I agree....  particularly since the DLM behaved as it was supposed to and as usual has corrected itself on your line.
