It's a Lantiq VRX-268. Yes you would in theory be better with a BCM, but Openreach have now amended their DLM so that the Lantiq based devices arent as disadvantaged now as they were when G.INP first rolled out. - link
arent AS disadvantaged - so they are still at a disadvantage...lol... i wanna get a BCM based router with G.INP, Vectoring and 5Ghz Wifi (N/AC) although i dont have AC wifi installed in my PC, i do think i will be getting one in the future, currently using the 5Ghz N network, signal isnt too good, im picking up neighbours 2.4Ghz N wifi thats stronger than my 5Ghz N wifi according to inSSIDer
on 2.4Ghz it starts to struggle as it gets to my max download speed of 37Mbps - jumping up and down from 32-36, but on 5Ghz its straight to 37 and stays there
