I got one of these 3 days ago, plugged it into my line as soon as I got it as my old DG834GT would keep freezing up. I saw a slight improvement in my sync
speed and my SNRM.
This router has a lot less SNR fluctuation between day and night. My old DG834GT at 6336kbps would have during the day at best 5.5db dropping down to 3.8db at worse during the night.
My new DGN2000 at 6336kbps is now sitting at 6.5db during the day and during the night sits at 5.8db. So as far as the modem in it goes it gets a big thumbs up from me.
I am on a 43db attenuated line and my current error rate at 3 days uptime is 0.1% so errors remain nice and low.
However if you use the LAN IP function in Netgear routers there is a bug with this router at the moment where it won't accept certain types of MAC addresses to assign a fixed LAN IP to. I guess Netgear are aware as its been posted in their forum and are working on it.
I can report that Routerstats works fine with this router as does the "adslctl configure --snr" command through telnet. Debug is enabled the same way as the DG834GT. However at this time I don't think DMT Tools works with it.
To use QoS on the router you will need to upgrade to the latest firmware version. You can give priority to online gaming, applications and to an individual computer using a MAC address. I dont really use the wireless function but there are a lot of configuration options available such as bridging and repeating.
If you need a new ADSL router I can highly recommend this one.
EDITED TO ADD: I did get two black clip on feet with mine.
