At what point does it fail?
Does it fail immediately with the following message
Microsoft Telnet> open 192.168.1.1
Connecting To 192.168.1.1...Could not open connection to the host, on port 23: Connect failed
or simply "connection failed" without a reason.
or does it fail after you try and put the username and password in?
Are you able to access the following page ok
http://192.168.1.1/setup.cgi?todo=debug

ok Ive been doing some more searching and Im not sure if this relates to the 160N too.. but it may appear that Linksys have disabled the debug mode in some of their latest firmware
Something else which I'm not sure will work or not because its not for your model but try this page
http://192.168.1.1/setup.cgi?next_file=adsl_driver.htm

It looks as though Linksys have changed the access arrangements then, and if they won't tell you how to get the information then you're scuppered unless some genius works it out and posts the details on the net.

Update on this
I have been informed that the above suggestion does work.
ie the the router should first be put into debug mode
http://192.168.1.1/setup.cgi?todo=debug
and then accessed using
http://192.168.1.1/setup.cgi?next_file=adsl_driver.htm
Frogstats page duly updated.
