I just registered in the forum. I'm from Turkey. ZyXEL doesn't answer the question due to company policies. List of ZyXEL modems sold in Turkey:

• VMG1312-T20B
• VMG3312-B10A
• VMG3925-B10B
• VMG1312-B10D

Which of these modems use the Broadcom chipset?

VMG3925-B10B is Broadcom - BCM63168
Your VMG3312-B10B looks like it's Broadcom too, also using the BCM63168. It should be fine.

I wouldn't go that far, I think its universally accepted that the VMG1312-B10A is superior and even Lantiq can perform better if you have a really good ECI line. (my own experience compared to the VMG3925-B10B)

Sadly there isn't a "one size fits all" solution.

I think it had been concluded that it does not.  If I ever find my spare I could possibly take a look.

Pretty sure that it doesn't. The known models with the filter are VMG1312-B10A, VMG8324-B10A and VMG8924-B10A, which are all of a similar age. Confusingly there is now a new version of the VMG8924, but I don't believe anyone here has opened one up yet to look at the circuitry.

I've circled what I believe to be the filter components of the VMG1312-B10A below. The VMG3925-B10A is underneath and it is clear that those components are not present.
Also of possible interest are the beefy capacitors on the power supply side of the 1312 that are much smaller on the 3925.

Yes. Two capacitors and an inductor.

The "T" in the VMG1312-T20B indicates not a Broadcom chipset. (I forget which chipset it indicates.)

Yes deployed about a dozen, as long as you have the openreach MCT configuration that zyxel provide isps they behave flawlessly.
