Just thought I’d mention... Last week whilst idly browsing the web for some now forgotten topic, following link after link in and out of Wikipedia pages, I stumbled upon the existence of some old short documentaries, originally shown as fillers in 1960s cinemas.

Better still, you can buy some of them on DVD. I couldn’t resist, before the day was out I’d ordered Volume 1 “Transport”, set of 4 DVDs. Settling down right now, enjoying scenes of now familiar motorways and bridges being built, a great new machine called a hovercraft, and much more.
Beautifully narrated by classic voices including Raymond Baxter and others, pretty good picture quality, and wonderful traffic scenes of 1960s vehicles and contemporary railway stock.
