Hi,

I have a D-Link 2640B Modem/Router but am having trouble connecting to it wirelessly. It works perfectly with a wired connecting but when using wireless no matter what settings I use all devices fail to connect. There is no error message it just doesn't connect. I've tried this on 2 Windows XP laptops and an Android phone. I've enabled to log to the lowest threshold but no messages are showing.

Any ideas?

2640B's are pretty robust.so a few questions..

1. which firmware are you running?
2. what is happening when your devices fail to connect? e.g. stuck accquiring IP address, or what ??
3. check your wifi settings in the router, especially encryption type and idle timeout.
4. are you seeing the SSID ok ??

I've since given up on trying to get the wireless to work and instead am using another router as a wireless access point.

Oh, I found the 4.01 firmware, have pm'ed you a link to the site - it's on d-link's polish ftp site and the link is good, i d/loaded it earlier
