I'm very sceptical about the results of these surveys. And they don't really give any useful information anyway. I remember several months ago when a village in Kent was declared to have the slowest broadband in the country, but most of the residents said that the figures didn't bear any relation to what they saw in practice.

I must have been poor then, because I ate and enjoyed tripe. Especially with pickled onions.  Don't see much of it now unless I go round town looking in proper butchers windows.

Much of Poole and Bournemouth have Virgin Cable and there is also FTTC for quite a few areas. Add to that Sky and other LLU users and the tech savvy that use speed tests and report their stats you could get a survey result that shows good speeds.

My area is not well provided for and test results show people nearer to the exchange than me getting barely 2mb througput, age and users experience comes in to play here.

We are cooking on gas though  with our LLU connection.

Yes,my parents and grandparents had tripe.It was usually ate cold with salt,pepper and vinegar and bread and butter.Sue loves it,I'm not keen tbh.
My B.I.L likes it hot with with boiled onions cooked in milk and served with mashed potatoes.

Being an impoverished northerner,my tastes are much more simpler..

I prefer a nice Chateaubriand  or monkfish wrapped in prosciutto (both served with chips of course)

Fibrecity ..........    it was intended to run through the sewers    look what happened, I think Fibre and sewer go together well in this case.

Wow now theres a surprise!  Without any explanation why its obviously going to be faster.

Bournemouth seems to like tacky deals: there's an artificial surf reef at Boscombe, which does not work. And the firm from the antipodes comes back and back and gets paid.
