I must have been poor then, because I ate and enjoyed tripe. Especially with pickled onions. Don't see much of it now unless I go round town looking in proper butchers windows.
Yes,my parents and grandparents had tripe.It was usually ate cold with salt,pepper and vinegar and bread and butter.Sue loves it,I'm not keen tbh.
My B.I.L likes it hot with with boiled onions cooked in milk and served with mashed potatoes.
Being an impoverished northerner,my tastes are much more simpler..
I prefer a nice Chateaubriand or monkfish wrapped in prosciutto (both served with chips of course)
