ADSL problems again
« on: March 15, 2011, 04:45:24 PM »

Looks like i have an upstream fault on my adsl one again
have had about 20 disconnections today and 6 of them within the last few mins
Still using the BT v1.0 faceplate and router directly into it
down stream snr and errors are fine but this is the upstream

Bang on 17:01 my connection came back online and all upstream errors are 0 and snr line is level
It cant be rein as its only effecting the upstream
could it still be down to bad ports at the exchange, as it took 4 lift and shifts before i could get a clear connection without errors and fluctuation snr the last time

We have a BT engineer out right now as our fault has came back
Connection has gone from 5mb profile to 133k
Told him that if you ring my number with no phones plugged in the line would drop
He tried it and saw the line drop
He at the cab right now testing for errors then going to the exchange to test for errors at the port again
Will let ya know how i get on

Well turns out that the brand new BT V1.0 face plate filter had failed in only 4 weeks
They also said something about rein

Admin note: I've split this from the topic where it was posted and merged it here where it belongs.
