Hi all, being new here I'm just after some thoughts. When I was on adsl2+ I had a download of 12.5, an up of 0.88 and a ping of 15ms.
I upgraded to fibre on a 80/20 plan. I'm getting 8.5up, 20.5down and a ping of 8ms. Now, I'm happy with the ping and upload, but is the download a bit slow? It was exactly the same when it all went in last week, its not moved an inch in a week.
I'm trying to unlock a ECI modem so I can get some stats but it seems to be unwilling to participate with me.
Talktalk rekon my line is 1050m long and 20.5mb is the best I'll get but isn't the upload and ping too good for that if so?
I know 20.5 is good but its only 8mb higher than adsl2+ and is costing me an extra £18. I'm kinda thinking (hoping) it should be around 35mb.

With that obtainable throughput, I would recommend downgrading to a 40/10 package.

Is that the line length to the cabinet or to the exchange? If it is to the cabinet, then your VDSL2 circuit will be similar to that of Bald_Eagle1. And TalkTalk should not have sold you the 80/20 package. They are taking your money for a service that they are unable to deliver.

Talktalk business only offer 80/20.
I'm not sure on line length, but Bald_Eagle1 is double the ping and just over half of the upload compared to me....
My cable is purely underground also.
Dunno.... however it has today raised up to a reliable 21.5.

I'm on I believe 650m ish line, and my sync is 40 down (banded) 8 up on an 80/20 package, I have an interleave of 701 down and fastpath up.
