I may be wrong, but I think I recall someone saying to me that you need a specific version of the Netgear DG834N to be able to flash it with DGteam firmware..

is this true? and if so which version of it do I need?

does DMT Tool work with either version?

Iam about to bid on one on fleabay, I just missed one for £3.20 (+£5 PnP) as I was out fixing a laptop and missed my reminder last night!!!

I suspect that you may be thinking of the DG834G, which has had a variety of chipsets over its various versions. There are DGTeam firmwares for versions 1 to 4, but not for the V5.

yeah Iam aware of those too, I was sure a while back I read that you need V1 of 834N to flash it or something like that, must be wrong

DGteam website says V1 which indicates it may not work with v2..?

Yes, I just found that myself. I really don't know for sure, but I see there are suggestions that the V2 has a Conexant chipset, and if this is the case then the V1 firmware certainly won't be any use.

how can you tell? there is no V1 or V2 next to the model number typical of netgears?? i need to be sure, the sellers need to be able to check
