Which Router!?
« on: May 03, 2012, 09:11:40 AM »

Been thinking of changing my router, the DG834PN hasnt got the best signal strength for me!

Ive been mulling over a few things!

Billion 7800n

Or do i go for a bog standard Netgear which has DGT already flashed!

eBay have the following for sale already preflashed with DGTFW.

DG834GV3
DG834PN
DG834GT

What would people here suggest?

Opted for the DG834GT For the time being. £25 preflashed with DGTeam FW.

Year warrenty.

The Billion contains the BCM5358 Chip i think and the DGT834GT Uses the 5348.

Plus my ISP uses Broadcom too which should help!

I would have sold you my GT with DGteam , thing is you have swapped ONE 108Mbps wireless G router with MIMO RangeMax for another 108Mbps Wireless G router without MIMO RangeMax... the GT wifi signal should be worse?! - if not then the DG834PN must have been dying.

Iam opting for the DG834N myself as its wireless-N & looks nicer and has newer a broadcom chipset than the DGN2000 (or 834GT), it can be flashed with DGteam fw too, I just missed one on ebay for £3.20!!!
