Hi Turfed out,
Not immediately as Roseway says it can take days for your IP profile to adjust, but if you collect the modem statistics again you can see if the download synchronisation speed increases quite dramatically which is a prerequisite for the IP profile to rise.
If these things fail then you need to consider your next moves.
I'm assuming your ISP is BT and sadly you only have CarPhoneWarehouse available for LLU services.
http://www.samknows.com/broadband/exchange/MYSOWFirstly you should understand that BT line estimates are precisely that and that they can be wildly out.
We've had one around here which was supposed to achieve 6 Mbps but barley maintains synchronisation with an IP profile of 135 Kbps,

http://www.ewhurst-broadband.org.uk/?cat=4IMHO there is no point whatever in paying BT more money for a new phone line without any guarantee of improvement and No Universal Service Obligation.
You should obtain a different modem
EDIT and filter(s) to be absolutely sure yours is not on the point of failing completely.
You probably then require your line to be retrained over the 10 day period to reset the line parameters hopefully to obtain more reasonable speeds.
You have then either to grind on with your ISP via possibly many calls to Asia, or to obtain your MAC (Migration Authorisation Code) and select a reputable ISP who will be prepared to get BT O to investigate your line.
Zen Internet or AAISP are two possible ones amongst many but they will be slightly more expensive.
I have had a number of successes with Zen but I do realise they have the wrong coloured roses in Rochdale !
Kind regards,
Walter
