Right, does that mean that removing them has improved the situation? I have never known my SNR to rise while I've been trying switching things on/off looking for the REIN. Only when the home plugs came out.
I have been doing a little research on them and apparently they do transmit low frequency waves turning you 240v system basically into an antenna. You will already know this
I'm wondering if maybe having these in has been causing electrical noise spikes to be amplified with having the 240 and adsl signal using the same wiring
That socket of my house is probably the worst in the world when it comes to potential for noise. There is one double which carries an aquarium and the TV/SKY/Ps3 and the wall plug adapter is in on the other on it's own. I'll just leave it out for now as it's one less thing to think about.
Btw I was checking to see what my IP profile was on the BT Speedtest site which is where I got the 3552kbps throughput from and was still on 3000kbps profile.
I'm as amazed as you but to be honest nothing seems to make sense any more
I have tried everything I can think of, I've looked into the possibility of different noise causing the disconnections which I can't pin down because three different routers give different results and I'm still waiting to see how a fourth is coming on ebay.
I'm tempted to change providers and get on an LLU provider in my exchange, this line profiling is a right PITA. My download speeds are 1meg down on what I was used to for the last 6month and all I get out of BT and the ISP is that's all I should get which obviously isn't the case.
