Hi
Try google "vista guardian removal" there is much info out there .Watch out though there appears to be many suspect sites offering removal according to WOT

edit  What about your own AV software ?

Go to http://www.malwarebytes.org/ and download the free edition of Malwarebytes by clicking on the blue button on the left of the page, and save to desktop.

Install Malwarebytes, update it with the latest definitions and then set it to do a "full scan" and let it delete all and anything it finds.

Reboot, and Vista Guardian should be gone.....if it is still there, boot into safe mode and run another full scan, then reboot.

OK, in that case you have to fool it a bit.

Go to http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=38629&st=0&p=193288&#entry193288 ..................and follow instructions posted there by metallica

Take the hard disk out and connect it to a known clean system (caddies are good for this) and scan and clean it that way.
