Tiscali phone the dead
« on: May 15, 2009, 11:27:12 PM »

Hi
On another forum tiscali refused to give MAC to the widow of one of their customers (they have the right to its in their rules !). But after that see this

What a disgrace .
Mind you I wonder How much better any other ISP would do ?
Regards Jeff

Interesting. I've never heard of Tiscali using an after service automated machine callback thingy. Usually they get one of their 1st line Indian callcentre staff to handle callbacks... [shrugs] not very sensitive in any case!

Most companies I hope are sympathetic..  I have phoned up BT in the past on behalf of someone whose hubby had died.. they were very helpful and arranged everything with the minimal of fuss.

I was speaking on behalf of the widow.. and the only thing they did ask is that I passed the phone to the woman whilst they just checked some details with her and confirmed that it was ok to me to speak on her behalf.
