Hi there newbie here.
I have been having terrible multple issues regarding slow speed over the last severn months with BT broadband.(I'm a very patient person) After eventually getting wholesale to admit fault at the exchange a lift and shift was done, and for two weeks excellent 6.0Meg download speed 24/7 then bang, one evening my download speed drops at 18:00 till midnight from 6Meg to 500kps. I have tried to use the
www.speedtester.bt.com to prove to BT Wholesale that my speed has dropped and as all exchange checkers tell me there is no congestion(BT Broadband also say this)There can only either be traffic shaping or throttling. But when i try to use the BTw tester i get the following message after i input my phone number and for nearly a month now i have not had an answer why?Aparently BT Wholsale have told BT Broadband they dont know why I get this message.Laughable!!!
The IP address discovered on the network associated with your telephone number:xxxxxxxxxxx, did not match the one we have logged from this browser/connection. Please check your telephone number and try again. If problem persists please contact your CP. Also i have to point out that your link
http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/btwspeedtest.htm shows that the connection details are:-
USER: speedtest@speedtest_domain
PASS: testing
And i have been told the connection details are:
USER:
speedtester@speedtest_domain
PASS: testing
My Router stats:-
