The older you get the cards seem to get less.   

Off to Meadowhall Centre in a bit for 'prezzies' 

My sister has given me a HMV voucher so will go and see if anything takes my fancy.

The weather is fine and sunny, so maybe a little bit more of the snow will go today, I'd settle for it melting on the footpaths, which are still very slippery, and it can stay in the fields where it looks pretty

It's sunny here and not too cold, well not as cold as it has been.  Just one little strip of snow left in the garden and apart from that the roads are all ok. 

Hope everyone has a good day whatever they are up to and can keep warm (and safe if you're going out) where you are.

TD has just been out for a wee walk............it's snowing again, and quite heavily...

For months now the place has been plagued by a local "boy-racer" tearing around in his 4x4 without any care for other vehicles or pedestrians, at top speed and at top noise.
He went one too far this morning, and failed to negotiate the bend over the bridge. Straight through the bridge, an old, very thick stone bridge, and over into the river.
Both he and his vehicle are in a terrible state.
Whilst I do not like to see anyone suffer the injuries that he has sustained, I will be pleased if the experience has taught him a lesson........hopefully he will be more responsible if he ever gets back on the road.

As you say TD, one shouldn't really gloat over somebody getting badly injured, but it does sound like a sort of hard justice.

I'm glad that no "innocent" victim has been involved.  I have no sympathy  whatsoever  for  "boy racers".

It's cold out there, I know this 'cos I just stuck my nose round the door giving Mr Robin his last feed for the day. I'm huddled up on top of the fire, not a pretty sight, but I don't care.
