Just wondering if anyone has heard from Dave.m as I haven't seen his posts....has he left for sure or just not posting?  Would be a shame if he doesn't get on here again...just hope he will be back at some time anyway.

Personally I think we should let sleeping dogs lie, people come, people go for whatever reason. I used to post a bit in the other place then it got fractious, then it got silly, it no longer has the atmosphere that it did, I've moved on and post elsewhere, just been having a lively discussion about your other post Chrissie, I guess other people do the same.

I truly hope that dave.m has not left. I enjoy reading his jokes, and he often (including the subject that caused the upset to SOME) posts very interesting items.

I agree that it was sad that that good for nothing died in a lift shaft, but that's one less scallywag that we all have to be wary of.

Astral disappearance is very strange -  I too hope he is ok.   Ive tried various methods of contacting him over a period of months all without success.
His long term mail box is closed, Ive tried phoning him but the phone rings and no one ever answers, hes no longer around on other forum on another name that he used to post under. 
In desperation I even tried contacting via a family member who states that she doesnt know where he is either.

To echo kitz's comment, we have very much valued dave's presence and contribution to the forum.

Unfortunately, dave has decided to take a break from the forum over a difference of opinion, which ocurred in a topic that dave himself eventually deleted.

I honestly don't know whether he will return or not - but as far as I can tell, his problem was not with the site staff, and he is more than welcome to post if he should choose to do so.

I noticed something strange in the summer, Astral played in the Forumites Challenge on the last day he played his time was something like 10,000 seconds, as if he'd been called away to a phone call, or even worse taken ill, I don't think I had been here long and thought nothing more of it, as other people explained similar long times as interruptions. I do hope he is safe and well.

Fudgem is away sunning herself in Spain from what I remember.  Back in Feb.
