If there were it wouldn't be what you are looking for. I am surprised this has you stumped.
The name of the place sounds even more like bottlebank. Change the first B for something else. There that should give you it.

Well if I have the answer wrong I will give part of it away with my thoughts about this Doctor. He may be named Dr. Dolittle.
Now the main clue you gave us is about character in the original story of Dr. Dolittle and was a cross between a Gazelle & Unicorn.
The only place I have found is........Gazeley, Suffolk. That's my guess.

Right in all  respects.........except for the location.  :no:

The pushmi-pullyu looked both ways at once.............so could not know if it was be hind or a head ........... ;)

The way you have written your last clue leads me to think the place name has deer in it.
Now looking both ways it could be deer or reed.
I have found a place called Reed Point in Lincolnshire. Point being a head also so that would be my next guess.

Reed Point, Lincolshire.
