Well ............ the advert was for CONDOR which is a big raptor  but I cannot find a Condor anywhere in the British Isles. The closest I got was  Conder - Lancashire

Well if that is correct I have been lead a merry dance. The Isle of Arran is not South West of Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. :)

The raptor is not the only one confused. Reading through your clues TD. Where does the water come in and since when was Derbyshire South West of Berkshire?

The large amount of water being crossed in a south westerly direction was to try and lead you to South America...the home of the Condor......and you very nearly arrived there having worked out the logic when you suggested the Falkland Islands.
I don't see any previous reference to Berkshire.
