Overhead phones line - interference

Just a general question - if your overhead phone line is sitting on top of two domestic power lines will this cause noise on the line?
This is the case with the lines that feeds me and one of my neighbours. The BT line test states that both of us should be able to get 1Mb (although I am now running solidly at over 5Mb). The test for my other neighbour, who's line runs from a different pole (and doesn't go anywhere near any power lines) states 4Mb and he's 150m further away from the exchange!
Cheers

Maybe, maybe not. If they cross at right angles, then no. If they run parallel and close together for a distance, then maybe.
