Morning all, from an aching and worn out Chrissie 

Phew, finished the decorating with a late spurt yesterday afternoon...glad it's over but boy...I'm whacked (doesn't take much you see!).  It's now time to start sorting out and moving the furniture back etc etc... but has to wait as I have shopping to do today and later this after.... take my poor little birdie to the vet as he's poorly again 

Tomorrow I have to get the car in for it's service and MOT  so busy week still... no rest for the wicked they say.

The sun has started to come out at the moment but as there's grey cloud hanging about too, I don't expect it to last (Oh me of little faith!).

I hope you all have a good day whatever you're doing AND manage to stay dry and warm.  Take care.

Mornin Chrissie/all,as Annie lennox says,'here comes the rain again'. Never a dull moment in your house Chrissie,sorry to hear the little birds poorly again.Hope the vet sorts him out ok.
Can't see me venturing far today.Just read on the news about a big fire on Fleetwood Pier. .I think that is quite near to a few members on here ,isn't it?
Hope you keep dry today whatever you're doing.

Morning All,
With the amout of rain recently, I would have thought the derelict pier would have been too waterlogged to catch fire.
The pier was sold to a Lancashire businessman for about £500,000 last year.
Mike Simmons, also known as comedian Joey Blower, had promised a new lease of life for the pier by converting it into luxury apartments.
But hundreds of people signed a petition objecting to the plans.

i used to go to the pier every saturday with my dad when i was a kid
and every bonfire night, me, mum and dad used to go and watch the display off the end of the pier
