Thanks for those, the second one is interesting as it shows a "mail. xxxxx" input
(All very confusing this POP business when you have to insert "mail" into a POP box.
But thinking about it, it was working when I left because we downloaded all the latest emails.
So possibly something simpler than the settings, which no-one would have changed.

I think you may be right, it could be an overload problem, there are possibly a couple of hundred emails on the server a lot of them also have attachments.
I'll get her to empty them out later, some of them are even a couple of years old so will not be wanted any-way.
