Author Topic: Any Eero Gen 2 users here? I'd like to look at your bufferbloat results  (Read 1847 times)

To cut a long story short, I'm looking for anyone with a Eero 2nd gen on FTTC (or even FTTP at this point) to supply me with bufferbloat results (particularly if you are in a double NAT setup with something like a BT Smart Hub). Ideally with ethernet wired directly into the eero on the machine you will run the test.

If you have 2 minutes to spare I would like the following:

1: A default bufferbloat test run at https://www.waveform.com/tools/bufferbloat then post the result. It will give you a link after the test is over.

Then open up eero app, discovery, eero labs and turn on "optimize for video conferencing and gaming".

2: Now run the same test again and post the link.

I know it's a strange request but I would really appreciate it.

Eero Gen 3 user here - so may not be what you're looking for. It's also with the Eero as the router - connected directly to the ONT, no double NAT.

Optimisation OFF: https://www.waveform.com/tools/bufferbloat?test-id=bb95fa75-eb87-4dae-b78c-3dcec2f7432a
Optimisation ON: https://www.waveform.com/tools/bufferbloat?test-id=ac629d8d-5243-4177-ae46-b65461eae611

It's ever so slightly better with it turned on, but there's so little in it.

I suspect you're looking to test something very specific... hope you get it solved!

Funnily enough I am about to bring an Eero online for evaluation now... Will let you know what model it is.
