Hi, had a Openreach engineer come round on Wednesday due to BT not giving me the speed they say ,should be at least 70mb ,however it’s been running at 65 for some time whic I just settled on ,what triggered me was after the storm power cuts I was getting back to 74 for a day so relished it’s attainable ,so now he changed faceplate and did a DLM reset which has made it interleaved, a level 2 engineer was due for tomorrow but cancelled, basically how long would it take to go back to fast path which should get the speed back up - hardware = Asus AX86U + Vigor 130 ( home hub is even slower )

1. The temporary increase in connection speed is likely to simply be a reduction in cross talk if your modem connected before some others.

2. As for the fault text - it's possible they were trying to get some information from your modem.. which they can only do from Home Hubs perhaps?

ECI takes up to three days from my experience if the line can operate without interleave. I.E errors within limits.

Maybe I need to wait it out and see if it goes back to what it was ,my line normally runs very well as I’m close to the exchange as well
