Heavy snow is forecast for here to arrive on Sunday. Mind you, being surrounded by sea here means that ‘heavy’ will mean two inches whereas on the mainland it will be a different story inland in the mountains.
Before 8am a max gust of 99 mph was recorded at Sconser in Skye, and 104 mph somewhere in Orkney.

Wind getting really wild now, forecast to get worse yet. Heavy rain yet donkeys chose to be out in it this morning even though they have extra food and extra fresh bedding to roll in in their stable, arranged knowing this was on its way.
