Hi all, I recently decided to run an Internet Radio Station and I was wandering do I need a microphone or can I broadcast music off my soundcard. And yes, yes I do play requested songs

Yes you will need a mic, of which will be plugged into your sound card.

You'll need a mic, if you want to talk. If not, you don't need one!
How you going to run it?
Shoutcast
is a good start if you don't have any suggestions yourself!

I've got it set up but i need someone not on my network to test it

That link is to the radio station it should be run from a media player me thinks umm i would recommend WinAmp

its up Im broadcasting music at 128kbps using IceCast as a Bandwidth Amplifier so im capable of hosting 40 people

Try using QuickTime as it worked in that as well.

Its working good!
When I ran one once I used the Line In connection and ran a cable from the Sound Out to the Line in and configured it that way, whats your setup?
