After a number of months of trying, I finally caught up with Walter's wheelbarrow and so asked for a progress report on B4SH's installation of their symmetrical, Gigabit, point to point optical fibre network in the Surrey Hills.
It was a very brief update, for Walter's presence was required elsewhere, but as I understand things . . .
We’ve expanded southwards from Albury (the site of our first connections, a year ago), over Blackheath and are now well established in parts of Shamley Green. The latest, current, installation there is to bring a symmetric Gigabit service to the Wonersh & Shamley Green Primary School who, just like the schools in B4RN-land, will be given a free service by the community volunteers.
Assuming Walter can remember his account password, he may well be able to find the time to update us more fully, in the not too distant future.
