Thanks all, is interleving permanent or over time will it notice that the line has stabilized?
J0hn thanks for letting me know, if the line recovers to its previous uninterleved state it with a +1mb I'd be happy. I never really had an issue with my sync speed it was more out of necessity of getting a pretty good new router and the ee hub is locked down so no bridge mode. I thought I'd pair it with a decent modem that'll hopefully last until I can get FTTP. Parents place has been a bigger job, they live in an old farmhouse with stone walls so I've got 5 access points going around the place via powerline so they can atleast get access to their measly 11mbs in every room now, the wan speed is the last remaining issue.
is that the actual Johnson who made the firmware? If so, great job and thanks, really appreciated! When they're on 11mbs 1-2mbs extra is actually a noticeable increase and they'd be very happy - to be honest their definition of fast is being able to watch a show on iplayer without it buffering more than once.. interestingly, the bt whosale thing says they should be getting between 16-32mbs, after installing the new modem and letting it settle for a day and running dsl stats (i'll post here), would it be worth to get plusnet to investigate the line?
With regards to input filter, my vdsl filter at my house is built into the socket, whereas at my parents I believe its the generic old big block style plug in that came free with a plusnet modem a number of years ago. I'd intended to replace it with the one that came when I moved to this property from EE 8 months ago (again no use for it myself) and replace the line between the modem and the filter. The one I recieved from EE looks much the same although its roughly half the size. Are there any third party input filters you can recommend that may increase sync speed or is it good to just replace the generic old bigger one with the newer smaller one as this won't make too much difference?
also for info stats are still the same as yesterday, leaving the vmg1312 in permanently now, hopefully after 7 days no resyncs something will happen?
