(EDIT - subject changed as it seems clearly not a banding issue)
My line would usually run at around 75 down / 17 up. I had an issue with my line which over the course of a couple of months was intermittently on and off, finally realised I was losing dialtone every so often. EE arranged for an engineer to visit.
First engineer knocked on door and changed faceplate, removed extension wiring and found nothing (line still intermittent but not broken when he visited), second one went to cabinet straight away without getting in touch, and found a fault in the street cab.
I noticed the resync happen and popped out to see; and sure enough the guy was doing my line so I asked him about it and whether he would reset it - he said he didn't need to as I was getting pretty good speed now (80 down but only 12 up). It appears the 12 up might have "stuck" due to DLM perhaps? Or could it be for other reasons?
Is there any chance of my upstream coming back?
