Zyxel SBG3500-N
« on: January 30, 2017, 06:31:45 AM »

Hi,

I'm using a VMG1312 currently and it's working alright. I was wondering if anyone had used the SBG3500- does it use a better Broadcom chip than the VMG1312? Better QoS than my Netgear Orbi would be good also :)

Thanks

As this is one of their business grade routers I would hope the configuration options would be plentiful - they should be given the price!
There is a User's Guide on Zyxel's support site so hopefully that will have the info you need.
I can't find reference anywhere to which chipset it uses though. All of the domestic Zyxel kit that I have encountered does use Broadcom based modems, but that is not a guarantee as other manufacturers use a mix of vendors so I wouldn't be surprised if Zyxel does too.
 :)

Broadcom 63168, according to this document. Same as the VMG8324.
