So my grandfathers internet is quite slow, and looking at his line stats it appears that there is a high SNR on both up and down, suggesting to me that DLM has intervened. I installed an Asus DSL-N55U on his line a while ago and it improved the sync speed compared to his previous ISP supplied unit. Just looking for some opinions and possible causes:

From that rather limited snap-shot, it is rather difficult say what has -- or still is -- affecting the circuit.

Depending upon the ISP/CP, perhaps they will be prepared to reset the target SNRM to 6 dB. At present, it looks to be set at 12 dB.

Yes, unfortunately Asus routers do not aggregate stats, and I didn't have any others to test with at the time. The ISP is TalkTalk, so I may attempt to get them to do a DLM reset and see if that resolves it. Thanks for your help.

Could do, but the sync rate looks about right for the line attenuation, so I can't see anything terribly wrong there.
