It would be capped at 55000.

Well, mine can't be capped at 55000 as my attainable is not even 55000 I guess haha. But still, 6db SnR is worrying me  :'(

Sorry, I meant each package would only be able to achieve 55000.

That's what people with attuenuation below 20dB will achieve. Steady 54999 or 55000.

William, can you post your stats after the DLM reset?

I have just extended my contract for another 12 months with upgraded speed (still Infinity 1 but up to 52mbps) and much lower price of £13.85 + £17.99. It will go live on 19th April.

Will my speed be capped at 54999 or 51999 or whatever the sync will be? I may just get about 45-47mbps as my attainable is only about 50000. Just worried a bit that my DL SnR will be about 6dB again and it will be droping below 6dB at evenings. I had an issues with this a while ago when it was dropping to about 4.5dB. I had packet loss of 50% and the only thing that helped was router reset but I was on Infinity 2 that time.

Just hoping that after DLM reset my latency won't go up. It's been steady 12ms for nearly 8 months now and its great.

How did you negotiate that price?

Well I called options team to ask if they are able upgrade my speed (same Infinity 1 package) within the same contract. The guy said they are able but only when I sign up for another 12 month. Then he said it may be cheaper as my contract is nearly over. I almost instantly agreed. On the other hand I could wait 2 more months till the end of my contract and then sign up as a new customer for £12.50 if I am right but then realised I would have to pay £49.99 activation fee. So got the deal for just £1.35 more expensive and without any activation fees etc.

I don't think you count as a new customer until you leave them for 12 months, still if you threaten to leave they usually give out the deal.

Hmm, it wouldn't be any cheaper because the new contract doesn't incur a cancellation fee.

I have never said a word about "leaving" and "canceling" just asked for an upgrade within same contract as I thought I would have to wait 2 months and then upgrade.

Seems they are more cooperative than when I last dealt with them based on your experience.  :D

As posted previously, they offered me £15.85 instead of my current £18.70 with 2 months to run.

They seem OK at the moment.

I rang BT earlier in the year to see if I could save any money and they immediately offered me the price of £21 a month for my 80/20 connection.  I will say that I was out of contract and was advised to call back when the new 1 year contract ended or the price would revert to the original contract price.

Yeah, was advised to call them before April 2017 too or the contract will revert to its original price.
