This is now available for download. It's based on v5.7.1, and the main change is a complete rewrite and simplification of the average errors section. In simplifying it I hope that this will dispose of the divide by zero errors which some users have experienced.

A small additional feature is that this version now reports the status of vectoring for the connection - the status is shown on the Stats page, and the details from the modem are shown in Telnet Data --> Vectoring. If a status number is shown it means that the modem supports vectoring, but if the status is shown as 'Unknown' that probably means that the modem doesn't support vectoring. Most people with compatible modems will probably see status 5 at this stage.

Many thanks for releasing this - I have just installed the beta on my WinXP machine. 

I wonder if at some stage it might be possible to add the attainable my/down speeds on the bar at the bottom - to join the actual sync rate/snrm figures already there..

For me on a 40/10 profile - its the attainable rate which changes not the actual one..

I must admit, this is a feature I too would find useful, because its one of the figures I often look at.
Im on 80/20, but after the effects of crosstalk, & depending which modem I use, then this figure can vary quite a bit.
On more than one occasion Ive thought of requesting this feature myself, but havent because I know Erics time on the PC is limited and wasn't sure how difficult it would be.

Thanks for the feedback. With regard to adding the attainable speeds to the status bar, it's easy enough to do, just a matter of cramming it into the available space. I'll do it for the next release.

you want to see the attainable swings over current sync rate use conn speed graphs and tick show max attainable download or upload values.

This will show the current sync along with the attainable sync at the same time DS and US

Thanks NS    I knew it was there...   thats were I usually go to look to see if anything has changed.. but unfortunately it doesnt give an actual figure and because the graph doesnt always show axis at say 80, then it can be difficult to work out.

This perhaps isnt the best example as I only put the new version on this evening and everything is pretty static..
.... but I have to then actually go look and look for it the pbParams data to know what that figure is.   By just looking at the graph alone I have no idea what its at.

If space is the issue..  and I can see that it may well be cramped.   
Adding the figure on the Conn Speed page may be an acceptable solution.
