Ip profile
« on: July 13, 2014, 10:24:22 PM »

After fiddling with router ended up with the lowest .135 sync speed, normally after 3 days it returns to a normal profile, but the router lost authentication this morning 2 days into the 3 days, will it still return to the correct profile, or does it need to be authenticated with bt? Not just the exchange?

As no one replied decided to wait it out, and it turns out authentication is not needed for the ip profile change.

If this is a BT based ADSL2+ connection, then the IP profile should change to 88.2% of the connection speed almost immediately. If it's ADSL Max, then it can take some days to change. In neither case is ISP authentication required.

Who's rosemary? ;D

I'm the wrong person to ask that question; hopefully one of the right persons will answer it.

I believe Black Sheep will be the person to give a definitive answer.  ;)

Yes RAMBO still exists.  For adsl1/2+ and even fttc. It's the management box for the DLM system
