Very interesting, if it was a meteorite then he was very lucky...   


.... although the sceptic in me is unsure.
That black dot on the screen to me could be anything, the size is hard to gauge, - but if it was that close - then surely its small enough to have been burnt up on entry?   I know nothing much about meteorites, as I imagine them leaving a trail behind them and being blazing hot, not one tiny black dot :(

that's all that's left of it, the rest of the meteorite burned up, like you said. At the point in the video there isn't sufficient friction for it to be burning so it's cooling down, and it's just a lump of rock.
