Broadcom-based modem/routers
«
on:
February 16, 2013, 07:18:21 PM »
I've been gathering together all the information I can find regarding modem/routers with Broadcom DSL chips, and I've put it all in a table on the wiki:
http://wiki.kitz.co.uk/index.php?title=BCM_routers
If anyone can help to fill in the gaps, or let me know about any models that are missing, or any errors, I'd be very grateful.

Hello Eric,
The Sky Hub SR101 has a Broadcom 6362 chipset.
Edit:
The NETGEAR DGND3700v1 has a Broadcom 6368 chipset and the DGND3700v2 has a 6361 chipset.
The Thomson/Technicolor TG582N has a Broadcom 6328 chipset.

The
Huawei HG610
is a four LAN port equivalent of the two LAN port
HG612
.
For your table, just copy/paste either the
HG612
or the
HG622
line and edit the
Model
field.

Eric, the default password on the Technicolor TG582N is often the serial number. In addition, it is 'Technicolor' and not 'Technicolour'.

You'll need to add:
Speedtouch 608WL - Business class Firewall/VPN/Router
Speedtouch 708WL - VoIP Modem/Router
Technicolor TG784 - VoIP Modem/Router (replaces the 708WL)

Eric, there are two versions of the DGN2200. The DGN2200v1 has a Broadcom 6358 and the v3 (I don't know what happened to the version 2) has a Broadcom 6328.
Edit:
The TP-Link W8960N has a Broadcom 6358 chipset.

Eric, as a member of the 'Content Team', would you allow me to add any routers, correct any errors, etc. on your post on the wiki? If not, I perfectly understand.

Certainly you can Alec. A wiki is a community effort.

Thank you. Just thought I would check.
List of my edits:
Updated 'TP-Link W8960N' chipset to 'BCM 6358'.
Added 'ST780WL' to 'Thomson/Speedtouch' category.
Added '2504' to 'SagemCom' category.
Edited '2504N' to add '(web UI login, no telnet)' to 'Login name' and 'Password', added 'adsl (command prefix used via custom firmware - 'Sky Router Tool Lite')' to 'CLI command prefix' .
