Well my connection had been perfect for 4 days solid not one dropout, then BT Openreach were up the telephone pole outside my house removed some wire (dunno the job my GF told me they were there) one drop when he was up and now another drop right now seems abit of a coincidence.

Heres my router Stats-:

Uptime:   0 days, 0:03:42
DSL Type:   G.992.5 annex A
Maximum Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]:   1,287 / 21,260
Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]:   1,287 / 17,072
Data Transferred (Sent/Received) [kB/kB]:   0.00 / 0.00
Output Power (Up/Down) [dBm]:   12.0 / 18.0
Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]:   15.5 / 28.0
SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]:   7.0 / 6.5
Vendor ID (Local/Remote):   TMMB / BDCM
Loss of Framing (Local/Remote):   0 / 0
Loss of Signal (Local/Remote):   0 / 0
Loss of Power (Local/Remote):   0 / 0
Loss of Link (Remote):   0
Error Seconds (Local/Remote):   0 / 0
FEC Errors (Up/Down):   0 / 447
CRC Errors (Up/Down):   0 / 0
HEC Errors (Up/Down):   25,416 / 0

Should i just keep a monitor of it or report it to o2?

I suspect the drop "right now", at 02:53:06 AM, may just have been a result of the SNRM becoming too small to maintain sync -- an "hours of darkness" re-sync. If you could force a re-sync sometime between 1100 & 1300 hours in daylight, you might optimise your target SNRM and sync speed.

Why not just keep a note of that pole-top work and the effect it had on your line, whilst you carry on monitoring? If O2 ask you how things have been, you could mention it then.

Those upstream HEC Errors do look somewhat odd compared to the other statistics. 25,416  :hmm:  Hmm.

The few hundred downstream FEC Errors that exist are of no great significance; they are occurring at a rate of ~110 per day.

Thanks for the reply already had the courtesy call from o2 asking if everything was ok and if it was ok to close the case which at the time everything was running great.

Lines been back on for about 1hr 22mins

FEC Errors (Up/Down):   1 / 6,279
CRC Errors (Up/Down):   1 / 1
HEC Errors (Up/Down):   25,417 / 1

Just i find it very strnage that my connection dropped when he was up the pole (i wasn't using it but router showed a drop after he had left) and recently one now.

Guess all i can do is monitor it, i have no noise on the line whatsoever like last time.

Sounds like planned maintenance to the lines up that pole. That is usually done though the early hours of the morning when everyone is dreaming lol. Also it happens more often in the exchanges i would of thought that up the poles so that is a bit strange. Other reason that engineer could of been out could simple be one of your neighbours may have reported a fault but i wouldn't of thought this would have had an impact in your broadband service causing it to go down unless he was playing about with your line. This was a good read and a good result in the end and i suppose the only thing to do would be to monitor.
