IE8 and managing add ons: only disable not delete
« on: December 09, 2011, 06:28:40 PM »

I am attempting to rid myself of any trace of nasties from Bandoo Media, viz Searchqu and DataManager.

I seem to have got rid both everywhere including the registry, but they remain listed add ons, albeit as disabled.
I can find no way to delete absolutely.

Ideas please.

Unfortunately it does not appear in Control Panel or Revo. It's sneaky
Here are the expanded details from the add on page! From normal searches or registry searches I find no trace.

Block count:            51
File:                   BROWSE~1.DLL

Update!

I seem to have got rid of the offenders. At least I can't see  obvious traces in Search or the Registry. Do you think that I should even so send a HJT log to, say, Malwarebytes, or elsewhere?
