Hi BioW and welcome !

Are you sure you are not confusing bits, bytes and M Bytes etc.. ?

A line attenuation so low should be achieving much higher sync speeds unless your service is capped ?

Kind regards,
Walter

Hi BioW,

Please tell us the make and model number of the modem and describe or photograph your house wiring.

Can you tell us what broadband service you are supposed to be getting too.

Kind regards,
Walter

Hi again BiopW,

I'm relieved to say your problem is entirely with your internet provider as you are on a fixed (I.e. capped) rate.

You will probably find you'll have to pay more for a better service - if indeed that's a practical solution with the physical wiring.
Does the phone line sound nice and quiet or is their a lot of background noise on it ?
Roughly how far are you from the telephone exchange ?

I hope that helps,
Kind regards,
Walter

I'd also enable bitswapping in the router too, might help a bit with stability :)
