Oh dear Adrian, and to think I have had wall to wall sunshine for the past two days.
It has just clouded over now.

I've been listening to the flood reports     goodness    ....  we are sweltering here 34° and rising   ......  keeping cool by shutting shutters  ....... The grape harvest    (ours is red wine)  will be very early this year due to the hot months we've had since April.   Normally at the end of September beginning  of October, they are looking at early September.   I picked our first few bunches of our table grapes this morning  ........    yummy  .....   I  snaffled  a couple of  red grapes from the vineyard       ---   delicious .............   now that's a  good sign  !!!

Yes been very dry of late in Gods own county. ........although that warm summer sunshine is in short supply

Dull all week here (Hampshire).
2 inches of rain today, lots of floods. Glad we live on a hill.........until the wind blows that is.
Summer will eventually arrive, just not sure which year that will be. Certainly not this one.

We did not stay at home last week as we went to the Isle of Man and it was like that most of the week  .
In South-Derbyshire it's so dry our trees are dropping there leaves.

In East Anglia (the driest region of the U.K.) it has been a "damp fur" day for anyone venturing out of doors.

The River Lark, visible from my bedroom window when flowing high, is still a miserable little trickle.
