Gentlefolk,

I'm afraid the following link makes for rather depressing reading especially as it was part of a new line install.
Given that Guildford is in installation phase 4b, it appears that the BT middle and senior management still have some significant issues to resolve.

Meanwhile very well done to the folk at the sharp end for dealing with all the frustrations - including those of the EU's !

My parents are switching to a new isp via FTTC.
currently a long line at over 63.5 db loss. Have sorted the star wiring a couple of weeks ago so have gone from an average of 1.3mb to 2.9mb
Ordered 30/7 Due to switch over 16th august, The isp originaly stated an engineer will visit to install the router at the premises, but then called back to say this won't be nessesary.
 the cab is only 200m away so I'm interested at the results, (never had the chance to play with an FTTC) I'll give a run down as and when for your info.

I can tell you now Ezzer, if the PCP is only 200 mtrs away, your parents will get the full 40/10 or 40/2 (Depending on what they've paid for). I've installed quite a few FTTC jobs, and have to say I'm impressed.
