I didn't know there was tournament vivisection going on in here.

It's a shame there isn't a UK version, with no USA history, music, sport etc.

I don't think 'Thicko' is registered with these forums,is he,she? Clearly a man(or woman) of mystery.

Hi Thicko here (That was). Re-registered as Bob4444. (Don't know why, as Thicko was appropriate.) Don't think I will be top of the class, but you never no.  ;D

you never know when an outsider will come up on the rails

You've no chance of getting on the leader board this month Bob, having been a late starter, but a new month will start soon, just got to be sure to play every day

I will use the rest of this month for practise. (4 days  :o) It still might take a few months to get the old grey matter going.  :D

I think  it's an American based site  -  this gives it away in their terms and conditions  .....FunTrivia content is not guaranteed for accuracy or completeness.............   ..... that and the length of the Terms and Conditions    ::)        hence the bias  !

to be fair, we have an advantage when there are questions about England, I daresay the Americans find them just as bad

Well they will if they are all like this ...... from an article in the New York Times ....

"Selected from a third-grade geography curriculum, the $25,000 question asked: “Budapest is the capital of what European country?”

Ms. Pickler threw up both hands and looked at the large blackboard perplexed. “I thought Europe was a country,” she said. Playing it safe, she chose to copy the answer offered by one of the genuine fifth graders: Hungary. “Hungry?” she said, eyes widening in disbelief. “That’s a country? I’ve heard of Turkey. But Hungry? I’ve never heard of it.”

Wow, I got 7 guesses right.  :) Don't know what happened to the other 3, must have thought too much.  :( Will keep trying guessing to see if I can improve.
