An interesting walk this morning.......
« on: June 30, 2011, 10:56:09 AM »

Strolling along a grassy path between the forest and fields at 09.25 this morning we rounded a corner  to meet a young Mr.Brock coming our way.

Rufus has never seen a badger before and  the excitement was extreme . Although this was a youngster it was still bigger than him , fortunately Rufus obeyed when he was told to leave it alone otherwise we would be at the vets now.

What a wonderful encounter. You don't expect to see a badger in broad daylight. And you're quite right about Rufus - badgers do have sharp claws and teeth.

Two weeks ago there was one in our local deer park out in the day time, lots of sets around this way  :)
But if they get in your garden you can say good bye to your lawn  :'(.
