The finished version of FireFox 5 is now available

Hasn't been rolled out yet via >help>about Firefox>check for updates.

It might be worth waiting a bit if you use addons. I imagine that it will take some time before they are updated.

Good idea Eric,I remember when updating from 3.16.5 to version 4 there was  a good few add-ons that hadn't been updated.

I checked out the addons which I use, and they're all compatible with FF5, so I've upgraded (the Linux version of course) and all seems to be well.

I think the update is more 'behind the scenes' rather than cosmetic,but as I don't have it yet I can't be certain. :)

I can't see any difference, but the changelog on the Mozilla site is enormous. Most of it seems to be bugfixes, but there are a few new features.

The update is available now for me..but 2 of my updates........Google toolbar and McAfee site advisor aren't compatible so I shall hold off for the time being

According to this article it seems Mozilla wants you to move up to FF5 asap as security support is being withdrawn from FF4

FF4 didn't last long, did it? Mozilla seem to have gone slightly mental.

I've done it now  ....  I've lost a couple of add-ons, until they update, but I can survive without  them   ................   for a while  ;D    Thanks Unc !
